Born in the city of Padova, Italy, where he still lives, Biasi is considered one of the most important representatives of the italian kinetic art.
During his youth he experimented with the implications of overlapping various lamellar structures and mixing contrasting colors in order to trick the human eye into a tri-dimensional kinetic mode of visualising an artwork.
Throughout his 60 years of artistic career, Biasi has participated in numerous exhibitions, either on his own or inside collectives and has his works showcased in renowned international museums such as MoMA in New York or the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg.
We have available for sale a rare monocromous optical-dynamic relief (rilievo ottico-dinamico), dated 1974, ‘Homage to Strzemiński’, dimension 50 x 50 x 10 cm, mixed technique on wood.
