Enrico Castellani

Enrico Castellani (1930–2017) was an Italian artist and a leading figure of post-war avant-garde. Best known for his “Superfici” (Surfaces), canvases shaped by nails and reliefs that create dynamic plays of light and shadow, Castellani explored space, perception, and rhythm through pure form. His radical research made him a central reference for Minimalism and Zero movement.
