
Emilio Isgrò is an Italian artist, writer, and poet, born in 1937 in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Sicily. He is renowned for introducing the technique of “erasure” in his works, starting in 1964 with encyclopedias and books, thereby contributing to the development of visual poetry and conceptual art. Throughout his career, he has participated in several editions of the Venice Biennale and has exhibited his works in numerous exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. In addition to his artistic production, Isgrò has published poetry collections and novels, establishing himself as a multifaceted figure in the Italian cultural scene.
